La lana vergine utilizzata proviene dalla produzione regionale svizzera. SWISSWOOL ha appositamente creato dei centri di raccolta per la lana in molte vallate alpine svizzere, in parte anche isolate, nei quali alla lana vergine viene garantito un prezzo equo. Grazie a questo sistema l’allevamento delle pecore e la produzione della lana, attività spesso poco redditizie, stanno vivendo una vera e propria rinascita. Dopo la pesatura, la lana grezza viene lavata e trattata. Successivamente ORTOVOX si occupa dello straordinario design e della funzionalità del prodotto finale.
