Product Details

The Index is our new flagship freeride boot, built for limitless backcountry adventures. It features the very latest Nidecker technology and dials up the stiffness for pure big mountain performance, whether you’re hiking lines off the lift or splitboarding into untouched terrain. We’ve constructed it around an asymmetrical upper that conforms perfectly to your foot and calf, with flex zones for unrivalled control without sacrificing comfort. A water resistant Storm Cover provides extra shelter for your feet and keeps your laces from icing up in deep snow. The lace system itself is BOA’s top-of-the-line H4 Coiler, with a brand new Internal Heel Lock system operated via the side dial and a separate control on the tongue to tighten the shell.
Expect unreal comfort and foot hold. To maximise grip in frozen terrain, we’ve added a premium B.F.T Vibram Approach outsole featuring an Icetrek rubber compound, while dual EVA layers in the midsole reduce vibrations on bumpy terrain and help soften big landings. The outsole blends into the Exo Spine via our seamless Transition Zone design, eliminating the chance of snagging the back of your boot on the binding and boosting heelside response. The solid feel continues up front with a tough TPU shield we call ArmourTech, which protects your toes while you’re kicking steps up that ridgeline. Inside, a Gold Level Wrap Liner provides unparalleled comfort and support, and can be heat moulded for a custom fit. Make no mistake, this thing is the absolute pinnacle of boot technology. From Japanese tree lines to that dream Alaska trip, the Index is expedition-ready.

  • Tailclips: Dual angled hooks can accommodate the ever-changing variety of board shapes on the market. Blunt and Square shapes use the outer hook, while standard and swallowtails use the inner hook. Extended slots in the tailclip offer boundless adjustability for the perfect combination of position, angle, and tail stretcher tension with your board.
  • Tail Stretcher: Injection molded in-house using a Pebax® thermoplastic material that is tear-resistant and stays flexible even in freezing temperatures. The built-in texture grips the tailclip to keep it firmly positioned with no slippage, and also makes it easy to grab with gloves on.
  • Industry Leading Material: Full nylon material provides the perfect blend of grip and glide.
  • Crazy Good Glue: Long-lasting glue is laid down in multiple stripes to be sticky on your board, but not too sticky to pull apart.
  • Storage: Includes storage bag and trim tool.

IMPORTANT: To be mounted only on splitboards with inserts conforming to the Voilé standard. Use the original screws provided with your splitboard bracket only if they meet the 5 mm to 5.5 mm insertion depth in the board (snowboard standard). If not, use appropriate screws that meet this standard. Follow the mounting instructions supplied with your D-board. Screws not included.
